Kitchen Annex of Ania and Marcin
A kitchen that should be practical
and pleasing to the eye.
I designed the kitchen annex in a Scandinavian style with a touch of classic simplicity, based on proven systems that allow for the creation of functional and aesthetic spaces.
I used simple white framed fronts that ensure a timeless character, while wooden countertops warm up the interior and give it a natural accent, balancing the rawness of the steel elements of the refrigerator and hood.
My use of delicate metro tiles on the wall was intended to introduce a subtle decorative detail that would break the simplicity of the cabinetry.
I placed the upper cabinets on only one wall and in a single line of cabinetry to keep them functional and not overwhelming to the space. The doors of these cabinets are divided into solid and glazed, allowing for both hiding and showcasing beautiful crystals or porcelain.
I complemented the whole with track lighting to highlight the brick structure of the wall and ensure full functionality in daily use.
The materials and systems I chose produced a very satisfying effect, all based on IKEA systems – this allowed for the creation of an aesthetic and functional space while wisely managing the budget.
I consciously selected every element to ensure that the kitchen is not only aesthetic but also functional.
